Taigum Square Shopping Centre is a sub-regional shopping centre located in Taigum, a suburb of Brisbane in the state of Queensland, Australia. Owned by Federation Limited, the centre is located on Beams Road, providing access via Gympie and Sandgate Roads. It is anchored by Woolworths, Big W, Homeart and Best & Less, and incorporates 77 specialty stores on the premises.〔(【引用サイトリンク】 work = Centro Properties Group )〕 == History == Taigum Square was first opened to the public in 1982 as the "Taigum Central Shopping Centre". In 2001, Centro Properties Group undertook a major redevelopment of the centre, spending $70 million to incorporate the Big W and Best & Less stores, as well as increasing the number of specialty stores on the site. The new centre was opened to the public on 29 October 2001. The renaming from Taigum Central to Centro Taigum occurred two years later, in July 2003. Taigum Square was one of the first of Centro's centres to be renamed as part of a rebranding exercise. In 2013 Centro Taigum was rebranded as Taigum Square as part of Centro's branding to Federation Limited.
